Bio Anne Verbeure

Born and raised in Bruges, Belgium, Anne Verbeure (*1993) immersed herself in film studies, after first obtaining a master’s degree in Art History at the University of Ghent (2015) with a focus on the visual arts. She studied Scriptwriting and Film Directing at the RITCS in Brussels and Animation Film at KASK Ghent where she graduated with a master's degree in Animation Film in 2021.

Her graduation film ‘Red Giant’ won her the 2021 Wildcard at the Flemish Film Fund (VAF) for animation film. ‘Red Giant’ was also selected at numerous international film festivals and won the prize for best national student film at Anima Festival 2022 and JEF Festival 2022. Her first professional short film titled ‘The Golden Donkey’ will be released in 2024. Currently, she is developing several film projects, including the animated short film ‘A Sleeping Fire’ and a multidisciplinary feature project.
